Welcome

Welcome to my bonsai journey—one that began in 2000 with a single tree and a lot to learn. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion, leading me to become actively involved in the Blaauwberg Bonsai Kai and the wider bonsai community in the Western Cape.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of learning from respected masters such as Rudy Adams, and I continue to share those lessons with others who are beginning their own journey. I have served as Chairperson of Blaauwberg Bonsai Kai and currently contribute as an EXCO member of both Cape Regional Association of Bonsai and South African Bonsai Association.
Now, in this new chapter, I’ve opened a small bonsai nursery on our farm in Melkbosstrand—offering a space where enthusiasts can explore, learn, and find trees to suit every stage of their journey.
While I appreciate all bonsai styles, I’m especially drawn to traditional penjing and, more recently, indigenous species—particularly ficus varieties. Bonsai is an ever-evolving art, and I look forward to sharing that journey with you.
